5 to 6 ripe heirloom tomatoes‡
fresh small basil leaves
sea salt
fresh ground black pepper
1. Slice tomatoes and arrange in colorful presentation on a platter.
3. Sprinkle salt and pepper over tomatoes, then cover with fluttering of small basil leaves and serve immediatly.
‡ Use a mix of heirloom tomatoes. I used small yellow and orange tomatoes, one very large red one, and a few of the striped ones (green zebra, orange and red, etc.)
Optional: slice up fresh mozzarella di bufala to accompany.
Serves 2 – 4, depending on how hungry you are.
