Trying to follow the horror

ESPN's GameCast is a really cool way to watch baseball over the web. I wish they had it for football, but it doesn't look like it.

Boo Sox

Some days I wish I weren't from Boston. Today is one of those days. Yesterday was also one.

Drat that El Duque

Listening live from work - I hate El Duque!

A non-rant

Rather than add to the ranting, I'll just point you to Ev's rant about Gazooba and just add one thought: if my already over-flowing inbox becomes inundated with emails from "friends" pointing me to myriad web sites, I'm going to be very very upset.

Boo Red Sox

Kozmo is kool

This is what I've been waiting for: rent a movie on the web, have it delivered to your door in less than an hour! [Available in most San Francisco neighborhoods.] What's cool is they also have books and food, all delivered in under an hour. Talk about instant gratification for the laziest of souls...

Sox beat the Yanks!

Yippeee RedSox!!!! Woo hoo!! 12 to 1. :)

Communicating with moviefone

Hmmm...so of course I sent an email to moviefone about what happened. Here's what I got back:

Nobody said it was easy to order movie tickets online

Argh! This is terribleI just tried to order movie tickets at moviefone. While I was waiting for my transaction to be approved, my connection with the server was *reset*. Then I searched all over the site, in vain, to find a help section. Nothing. There was no place on the site to find out what happened to my order. Talk about poor design! I finally called American Express to find out if the transaction went through.

Tony Hawk is my favorite

Today's pic of the day on evhead is from that magical day when Tony Hawk pulled the first 900 ever. Seeing the photos brings back nice memories. Ahh, dreamy Tony Hawk- this is fascinating.

Out of touch with reality and the Red Sox

Last night I had a terrible realization that I'm very disconnected from reality. I don't know what day of the week it is, and I don't know what the date is. Here I was, all excited for the American League Championship, Sox vs. Yankees, I even have the game schedule printed out and sitting on my desk. Last night, my friend Rolyn asked if I wanted to watch the games this weekend. I said, "Oh, that series doesn't start until next week." No said Rolyn, it's already begun, the Sox lost the first game. Impossible I said, the first game isn't until the 13th! Oops, today's the 15th. I thought we were still in the single digits of the month.

Wondering what it's all for

I only caught part of The Forgotten 14 Million on the radio, but what I heard nearly moved me to tears. 1 in 5 American children is growing up poor, as VC's throw money at the next eOnline.com, as the stock market surges ahead. I wonder, what am I *really* doing to change the world? [thanks for the link, pb]

Redesigns galore

It's redesign time in blogland - first Cam, then Jason, and now Ev. Makes me want to redesign. (oh, and pb rearranged the other day as well!)

Yippee!

WOW! I just can't get over the Red Sox...:)

Go Boston, kick Yankee butt!

I can't believe THIS! After '86, after every season where I watched the Olde Towne Team go to pieces in post-season play, I had barely hoped. And now to play the Yankees...and Clemens...I can't wait! I'm already getting nervous!
